About
I am a game audio designer living in the UK. I consider myself an “Audio-naut”; an explorer of sonic landscapes. I began my career as a “noise” artist playing in garage bands. To expand my musical knowledge I studied Music at The University of Glasgow. While the classical training I received was valuable I felt restricted by traditional instrumentation; I couldn’t achieve the timbres and textures I desired. In my honours years I focused and became proficient in linear and interactive audio, and I developed these skills further by completing an MSc in Sound Design.
I now explore alternative sonic possibilities; creating and prepping electro acoustic instruments, and investigating the sound of objects. I am fascinated with the structure and expressiveness of sound; and how it can be used to support story telling and enhance the player experience in video games. Currently I am employed as a full time sound designer at Fun Dog Studios where I support the art style of The ForeverWinter with creative sound design. I take ownership of all techinical aspects; mixing, SFX implementaition and music system design.
